Relationship & Marital Counselling

You’re married or in a long-term committed relationship. You’ve woken up to the scary thought that the relationship isn’t going anywhere; or isn’t going in the direction you want it to go.

What do you do?

From working with hundreds of couples and families we know that most people considering the end of their relationships complain about three things:

- Poor communication.
- Lack of affection and interest.
- Nagging.

The sad fact is that although all of these situations are solvable, many people give up and would rather walk away from their situation than try to sort it out. The impact on all parties involved is usually severe.

Swift Counselling offers relationship counselling to individuals, couples and families addressing these common problems. Other problems also covered by our services include:

- Support and relate to issues around infidelity & loss of intimacy.
- Counselling for victims of Domestic Violence.
- Therapy for families or individuals seeking support after a divorce or separation.

We offer two options for relationship counselling: working with one therapist (either a man or a woman) or with two therapists (a man and a woman together).

Though the second option is more expensive (see our fee scale), many people find working with two therapists very useful: for couples, to have a male and female therapist present can feel safer for both parties; also it can speed up the process so fewer sessions are required.

Marriage counselling and counselling for couples is a service offered by Swift at our Swindon Practice.

We aim to contact clients within 24 hours of them contacting us.

Our approach to therapy

Testimonials

Following a car accident, I suffered terribly with a fight or flight response when driving. I did not know what this anxiety was and tried for months to recover on my own. After a particularly severe anxiety attack, I realised that I needed to get help. EMDR therapy was incredibly effective. My anxiety was linked specifically to the accident and in one session the anxiety was dispersed.  I literally walked out of Swift Counselling, got in my car and drove with no anxiety from that moment on.  I am thrilled with the results, thank you.
